Following last nights semi finals of our Spring cup competitions we now know the finalists of these two competitions.

The Pete Ahearn Spring Cup will be contested between The Barley Mowners, who ran out 5-4 winners over The Dovey, and The Salt ’n’ Asbo’s who defeated The Dovey Boys 3-5.

The Barley Mowners came from behind at 3-4 to take the final two frames to defeat The Dovey, but it took a gallant last frame of doubles using the winner and runner up of this seasons averages to overcome the Dovey team.

Although The Asbo’s looked comfortable winners the match sheet told a different story. The Asbo’s only won one of the first 4 frames before The Dovey Boys ran out of players and were forced to concede the next 4 frames to give The Asbo’s victory.

The Paul Sheen Memorial Cup final will be played between The Doverdale Arms and The Rifleman’s.

The Doverdale Arms were never in danger in this contest running out 5-0 victors over The Hop Pole New Army albeit with a little bit of luck along the way.

The Rifleman’s came from 0-2 behind to take the next 5 frames against The Doverdalers and so book their place in the final against The Doverdale Arms.

All the team winter and spring cup finals have now beed decided together with their venues. All information regarding these matches can be found on the website under “fixtures/Upcoming fixtures”
